The Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa is situated approximately two kilometres from the trunk of The Palm Jebel Ali. This extraordinary man-made island in the shape of a date palm tree, will be the location for a variety of entertainment and residential complexes once it is completed. Next to The Palm Jebel Ali is Dubai Waterfront, dubbed the world’s largest waterfront development, which will feature a series of commercial and residential communities.
Development of Dubai Waterfront and The Palm Jebel Ali continues to the north west of the resort with land profiling works the predominant activity. The Palm recently commenced with the creation of the causeway from the crescent to the main land mass where it will connect approximately 400 metres from the border of the Resort. Work on the causeway is expected to be complete by end of June 2007 and might generate occasional audio disturbance, dust and a slight change in water clarity. Although the island’s crescent and the vessels associated with creating this extraordinary project are visible from the resort at a distance, they do not cause visual disturbance for our guests.
Dubai Waterfront have erected their boundary fence to the west of the resort running from the seafront to Sheikh Zayed Road, although this does not affect guests at the Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa logistically or visually. The boundary of Dubai Waterfront is at the nearest point approximately half a kilometre from the resort and at this time is not affecting guests’ enjoyment of our self contained property.
The development of The Palm Jebel Ali remains static from the resort’s perspective with occasional audio disturbance from land reclamation activities. Boats are apparent on the horizon although at such a distance from the resort do not cause either audio or visual disturbance.
Accommodation
From the lobby in Jebel Ali Hotel guests will be escorted to their beautifully appointed rooms, all of which offer views of the golf course or the marina, beach and gardens. The rooms themselves are tastefully decorated and offer every modern convenience including satellite television, a private safe, mini bar and tea and coffee making facilities.
All 260 rooms at the Jebel Ali Hotel overlook the picturesque tropical vista created by the golden beach, marina and golf course. The Golf View and Sea View Rooms are located on the first four floors, while the fifth floor comprises Superior Rooms that offer great views of the breathtaking surroundings.
Golf View and Sea View Rooms
Offering views of either the Resort Golf Course or the beach and gardens, the 32 sqm tastefully decorated rooms can accommodate up to two adults and one child below the age of 12. All rooms feature a small standing balcony and king or twin beds.
Superior Golf View Rooms
The elegant 60 sqm rooms are located on the fifth floor and feature a king bed, spacious bathrooms with walk-in shower, walk-in wardrobe and a small standing balcony. Up to two adults and two children below the age of 12 can be accommodated.
Executive & Superior Executive Suites
Offering a separate sitting and sleeping area, the comfortable 56 sqm Executive Suites on the fourth and fifth floor allow a stunning view onto the Arabian Gulf. Up to two adults and two children below the age of 12 can be accommodated. All Executive Suites have king beds.

When staying at the Resort you will have access to a full range of water sports. While water skiing and banana boat rides plays on the excitement of speed in the water, windsurfing, laser and catamaran vessels allow you to test your steering skills as the wind pick up. Tuition is available.

Shooting Club
The impressive fortress style architecture as you first enter, makes the Jebel Ali International Shooting Club an imposing sight from the very start. This indoor and outdoor shooting academy, built to exacting international safety standards, makes the exciting sport of recreational and competitive shooting easily accessible to all.
Horse Riding
The Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa is the only Resort in Dubai which has its own air-conditioned stables. The Resort features its own spacious paddock where riding tuition under the guidance of qualified riding instructors is given.
Golf Recreation
The 9-hole, par 36, championship standard Resort Course is situated within the idyllic grounds of the Resort. Designed by Peter Harradine and opened in 1998, the Resort Course has hosted the world’s best players as part of the official curtain raiser to the European PGA Tour event, the Dubai Desert Classic.
Each hole is uniquely landscaped with exotic trees, shrubs and original desert flora and the course also features a saltwater lake which comes into play on five holes. The wooden gazebos, views of the Arabian Gulf and peacocks which freely roam the fairways have added a special charm to this course that is a fair and exciting challenge for golfers of all abilities.
Standard of Play
The Resort is available to players of the following standard:
• Holder of an official handicap certificate (max 28 for men, 45 for ladies)
• Holder of a current playing certificate or a very experienced non-handicap player
• Beginners and non-golfers are not permitted to play on the Resort Course but are welcome to use the practice facilities or take golf lessons.
Speed of Play
Players are requested to play at a speed that ensures enjoyment for all other course players. To facilitate the flow of play during busy periods, players will be requested to make up into four-ball tee time groups.
Golf Carts
Players may ride or walk the course. Electric carts and pull trolleys are available for hire.
Equipment
Quality sets of men’s, ladies’ and junior clubs may be hired for the range or course. Bag Storage is available – clubs are cleaned and safely stored overnight, on request.
Attire
Appropriate golf attire is required for all players at all times. Spikeless or soft spike shoes must be worn.
Pro Shop
High quality merchandise from some of the leading suppliers of golf, leisure and sportswear are available together with branded gifts and mementos.
Tee-times
From October to April the Resort Course is open from 7am until nightfall, and from May to September, from 6.30am until nightfall. Players are requested to book in advance and at the time of booking, to provide information on handicap, whether playing 9 or 18 holes, preferred tee-times and contact information.
The Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa is just a 40-minute drive from Dubai’s city centre and international airport. A complimentary shuttle bus to the city centre is available every day.
The Resort is adjacent to the Jebel Ali Free Zone, while Dubai Media & Internet Cities, Mall of the Emirates and Ibn Battuta Shopping Mall are approximately 20 minutes away. Abu Dhabi International Airport can be reached within 50 minutes.
